This kit is for the person who wants to use their own chain to set up their own custom length of grabs. This is advantageous for those who expect to use them regularly for timber over 30" in diameter, or for applications outside of what the standard setup is best suited for. This kit provides you with the following, and requires you to assemble the set before use:

(4) 1/2" cold shuts

(1) 5/8" forged and welded round bar ring, 3 15/16" in diameter

This will require you to source and cut your own chain, and fit the ring and cold shuts in place. Large vise is recommended for compressing cold shuts prior to hammering. It is also recommended that cold shuts are welded once "shut" so that they do not open under stress.
